About Spartanburg BCM

We exist to help students learn about Jesus’ love for them and grow in the depth of their knowledge in relationship with Him.

OUR GOALS

Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM), is very simply, a ministry for college students; a place for them to connect with other students and be a community for Christ on their campus.

Students from Converse College, Spartanburg Community College (SCC), Spartanburg

Methodist College (SMC), University of South Carolina Upstate, and Wofford College make up our community.

We are a ministry of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and the Spartanburg County Baptist Network.  BCM is made possible by the giving of churches and individuals to the Cooperative Program.

Everyone is welcomed.  We are open to folks of all kinds of denominations, faiths and backgrounds. We believe that God made you with a purpose and immense value and we would love to get to know you.

Our hope is to see each person in our community…

  • Love Jesus and follow Him

  • Love other people as much as we love ourselves

  • Do life together, sharing our ups and downs, and having fun along the way

  • Depend on the Holy Spirit to carry this out
